After beating 2 as a Vanguard (twice!) and an Infiltrator, I've decided to beat Insanity as all 6 classes.Starting with the Sentinel.I don't want be that guy who says 'Insanity is hard, anyone who says otherwise is a liar,' and then suddenly say, 'Insanity as a Sentinel is really easy,' but.Insanity as a Sentinel is really easy.
I'm still dying a bunch of times on Mordin's recruitment mission, but that's to be expected. All the other missions are ridiculously easy so far.I'm also challenging myself: starting from Level 1 (no import), and I'm running a 'vanilla challenge,' in which I don't use any DLC weapons, squadmates, powers.
Just put the level number and see effects.player. Fallout new vegas combat armor mark 2. Setav skill name- use this command to get the specified skill.set special points 1-10- by using it player gets the special points.settagskills number- players who want to gain tag skill points go to this command.player. Setlevel number- if you want to set the level by yourself then this is a great help.
No Incisor for squadmates. No Arc Projector. No rebuilding squadmates. So far, it's going swimmingly. I'm playing as Plain Jane and I'm thinking of giving.Garrus a shot. I'm violating my Fem!Shep likes girls policy.Thoughts?.
Insanity does a good job of making you aware of the nuances behind a class's design. I'm noticing that the Sentinel is very 'give-and-take,' and 'either-or.' You can either have a variety of useful powers with atrocious cooldown times, or you can have a limited number of powers with faster times. You can have a large variety of powers with fast Cooldown and low damage, or you can have a limits pool of powers with fast Cooldowns, and they hit harder. The Sentinel's best powers have to be unlocked, which means mastering them leaves you with fewer options. This is in stark contrast to the Vanguard who can master all his best powers with points to spare.
Sentinel is my favourite class so the first time I beat ME2 on Insanity was with a Sentinel Shep. I remember Horizon was, by far, the toughest part. A few tips of what worked for me:.The extra power slot was reserved for ammo powers, since the Sentinel doesn't get any. Armor-Piercing or Warp Ammo usually did the trick for me.I chose shotgun for advanced weapon training.
Having Tech Armor always on allowed for Shepard to get much closer to the enemy so the shotgun was a perfect complement to my strategy. As a Sentinel, Tech Armor is your best friend. For squadmates, I always used a combination of Miranda, Garrus, Mordin and Grunt. Miranda is a Sentinel herself as well, but I find that Warp and Overload are almost always useful (especially Warp since in Insanity pretty much everyone has armor, and for barriers too). Also, she has an awesome passive power which gives extra health and weapon damage to the squad. I used Garrus mostly in missions against geth for his Tech abilities and assault rifle. I invested early on in Heavy Incinerate for Mordin and it helped sooo much during the Collector missions. However, Mordin is a bit weak.
So when I expected closer combat I would switch him around with Grunt, who's much stronger and has Incendiary Ammo, which can kinda replace Incinerate.I just ignored Cryo Blast lolGood luck!. It sounds like we have similar sensibilities.During character creation, I was torn between AP and Warp Ammo, but ultimately decided upon Warp for its versatility against various fmdefenses. Now that I got Mordin, it's a moot point.I think the Shuriken serves all of my CQC needs, but I still haven't decided between sniper or assault rifles. Probably the former, but we'll see.Miranda is always a go-to squadmate alongside a more combat-oriented Shep, but I'm thinking a powers-oriented Shep would be better served with more fire support from the squad, especially since Shep has all of the can-opener powers.

I don't actually agree with you for two reasons: Everybody should play the way that is the most fun for them. If you're not really into the combat, turn that setting down and breeze through it for the juicy story and dialogue bits. The other is that, with the addition of layers of defense and specific abilities not working while defensive layers are active, certain squad members are far, far less useful in Hardcore and Insanity. I haven't done a run below hardcore in over 6 runs now, and I honestly really miss being able to bring Jack or Jacob with me and expect them to be all that useful.:(Having certain squadmates be borderline useless because all their powers are blocked by defenses is pretty suck, especially since once most enemies are down to health, they die almost instantly to gunfire and don't really need to be Shockwave'd or Lift'ed.
Engineer is possibly the easiest class because it's the most skilled in alternative styles of combat. Shooting things isn't the only way to go where that class is concerned. You really don't need the AR, but you'll get it nonetheless if you choose it as a specialization (over the shotgun or the sniper rifle). After you've recruited the first group of allies you'll get to what you might call the end of Act I, on Horizon. After this you have 5 missions before the one where you can get the specialization for the weapon.
Spend those 5 missions recruiting as many people in the next group as you can, since this is primarily done in one location and you want as many options as possible for picking your team when you go to the Collector Ship. It's a long mission with a few very difficult moments. To put your mind at ease, you get the AR before the hard part of the mission starts.
I was just referring to never doing a Insanity run like they play a dozen times and never go above normal I just personally find it weird but your right each their own. But I get that people like to breeze through it I just feel that Insanity is like the default difficulty like what They would actually be facing in my headcannon.
And I can see what you mean on Jacob and Jack cause neither has stripping powers so they can be underwhelming though if you could get Jack in ME3 with combos she would just Wreck.
You are specially trained to use your weapon skills in new ways.Prerequisite(s): level 5th, class feature.Benefit(s): Select one option, applying it to one weapon group you have already selected with the class feature.Special: This feat can be taken more than once, but at most once per 5 levels.Special: Fighters that have the archetype can select this feat beginning at 4th level. The benefits of a weapon master’s advanced weapon training options apply only to his selected weapon rather than all weapons in the same weapon group, and he can’t select the weapon specialist advanced weapon training option. A weapon master can select this feat as a bonus feat; if he does so, it doesn’t count for the purpose of the requirement that it can be taken at most once per 5 levels. If an archetype replaces a class ability with a more specific version of that ability (or one that works similarly to the replaced ability), does the archetype’s ability count as the original ability for the purpose of rules that improve the original ability? It depends on how the archetype’s ability is worded.
If the archetype ability says it works like the standard ability, it counts as that ability. If the archetype’s ability requires you to make a specific choice for the standard ability, it counts as that ability. Otherwise, the archetype ability doesn’t count as the standard ability. (It doesn’t matter if the archetype’s ability name is different than the standard class ability it is replacing; it is the description and game mechanics of the archetype ability that matter.)Example: The (fighter) archetype (Ultimate Combat) has an ability called “spear training,” which requires the dragoon to select “spears” as his group, and refers to his weapon training bonus (even though this bonus follows a slightly different progression than standard weapon training). Therefore, this ability counts as weapon training for abilities that improve weapon training, such as (Advanced Player’s Guide), which increase the wearer’s weapon training bonus.Example: The (fighter) archetype gets several abilities (such as “expert archer”) which replace and do not otherwise refer to the weapon training ability.
Therefore, this ability does not count as weapon training for abilities that improve weapon training (such as ). This is the case even for the “expert archer,” ability which has a bonus that improves every 4 fighter levels, exactly like weapon training.
